Document Number Format
The document number of the remito is in a pre-defined format. Use this option to set up the last document number used.
This table shows the format of the Remito, which is 16 digits in length broken down into this format:

1 - 3 | The AFIP Code (CODIGO_AFIP) |
4 - 8 | Point of Sales (PREFIJO) This number is from 00001 to 99998 and is required to be registered to Administración Federal de Ingresos Públicos (AFIP). |
9 - 16 | Number (Numero) This is the iterating number. Every time a Transaction BOD, such as Invoice or Shipment, is published, value of the number is updated to plus 1. |
Note: An error message 'This report cannot be selected. No data format found.' is displayed if
Document Number Format is not set up on Last Document Number Maintenance upon selection of
report.
Setup Company Industry
This setup is required for Argentina as part of the Document Number format prescribed by the Tax Authority. You must specify the AFIP Code on the Contact Master - Contact Classifications.
