The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has rolled out regulations mandating businesses to adopt an e-invoicing process in two phases. Phase 1 includes using an e-invoicing system that has internet connectivity and is compliant with ZATCA. E-invoices must be issued from December 4, 2021. Phase 2 is implemented in different stages for targeted taxpayer groups. Starting January 1, 2023, electronic invoices must be integrated to ZATCA’s system for verification and validation.

Connectivity is through the Web Services Gateway.
