From 1 January 2014 onwards, it is mandatory in Finland for businesses to provide a receipt to all their customers for cash purchases. This is enforced by the Tax Administration and the Police, with the Legal Register Centre imposing penalty fees for negligence. For example, failing to issue receipts incurs a minimum charge of €300 and a maximum charge of €1,000.
VIITE is a Finnish word meaning Reference. It is a short written identification of a previously published work which is used as a source for a text or for the work itself.
