On-premises installations have a similar configuration but do not require the use of Infor Enterprise Connector to retrieve the files from the cloud.

The decision as to whether a GEMS message is created or whether the data is sent into LSP depends on the configuration within ION and the BOD data being sent.

After the proprietary format has been generated, it is sent directly to the government or a government agency.

Alternately, ERPs can opt to use the LSP Direct functionality, which uses the connectivity feature within LSP, without generating the proprietary format itself.
