Uploading a document flow

  1. In ION Desk, select Connect > Data Flows.
    A list of existing document flows is displayed.
  2. Click the Import button and browse for the document flow to be imported.
  3. Open the newly imported document flow.
  4. In the document flow, select the LSP out application connection point.
  5. Under Application Activity Properties, click Add.
  6. Select your LSP application connection point and click OK.
  7. Specify the selected LSP connection point to add BODs used in the document flow.
  8. In the document flow, select the LST application connection point.
    Note: For Cloud edition, Location should be selected. These prerequisites must be done to select the proper location:
    • ION enterprise connector must be installed in the machine where tax connector is installed
    • Enterprise Locations must be set up in ION
  9. Under File Activity Properties, click Details.
  10. In the Host Name field, specify the host name or server where the Tax Connector is installed.
  11. Click Test to verify whether the connection is working.
    A message is displayed that indicates whether the test is successful. If the test is unsuccessful, correct the connection details and try again.
  12. Click the Documents tab.
  13. The file connection point comes with pre-defined input and output folders. Click Test on each document to validate the configuration:
    Note: A test is done to check if the specified Write Location is accessible using the specified connection configuration. This test also validates if the credentials that are provided have the required privileges.
    A message is displayed to inform you whether the test is successful or not.
    Note: If an error is encountered, ensure that the data folder of the tax connector is set to Shared to the connection point’s specified user with Full Permission.
  14. Click Save.
  15. Return to the document flow.
  16. Click Activate.
    Connection points are not activated separately. When you activate a document flow, the associated connection points are activated.
