Viewing inquiry logs

The Inquiry window shows information about messages that have errors, failed to generate, or have been rejected by the tax authority. In UK, these inquiries are available:

  • Internal Validation Errors

    View all the documents that failed to generate due to validation errors that are caused by the system and the error descriptions.

  • Government Rejected File

    View the lists of documents that have been rejected by the tax authority and the reason for rejection.

  1. Select United Kingdom from the Accounting Entity list, then select MTDfV.
  2. To view validation error logs, locate an output file with status of Failed from the Most Recent Documents list and click Failed in the Status column.
    To view government rejection logs, locate an output file with status of Rejected from the Most Recent Documents list and click Rejected in the Status column.
  3. In the Inquiry window, view the list of fields and error descriptions.
  4. To download the inquiry log, click EXPORT .
