eInvoicing

Documento

The Electronic Tax Document (DTE) is the electronic billing schema currently in force in Chile, and its management involves the adoption of certain requirements to be met by senders and receivers, including engaging in online communications with the SII or Internal Revenue Service.

This sales invoice type is generated for domestic invoices only. A different invoice type is generated for export.

Exportaciones

The Chilean electronic invoicing model combines elements of the batch oriented folio scheme used in the Mexico’s original model with the real-time communication found in Brazil and Argentina. The process begins in two steps. First, a delivery document (the “Guia Despacho” or “bill of lading”) is generated and registered with the government. Then, other fiscal documents (like the invoice or credit/debit notes) are generated and registered with reference to the original document as follow-on activities occur later in the purchasing process.
