Chart of Accounts Maintenance

You can add additional information on your chart of accounts, which dictate how they are used in this function.

Option Notes
Account Code Description in Spanish All accounts that are submitted to SAT must have Spanish descriptions. If the Account Code Description is not in Spanish, select Modify to specify the description.
Note: Note: This description overrides the one sent from your core ERP. If you prefer to use the description from your ERP, do not specify a description here.
Standard The std account code language description that comes from the ERP, if held. These cannot be changed.
Override You can enter the description in Spanish if it must be changed in some way, or is not held in your ERP.
Nature Specify whether this is a debit or credit account.
Sub Account A level 2 account code.
Posting Type This is where the account resides in your accounting system.

For example: BalanceSheet, ProfitAndLoss

Account Level Specify whether the SAT account level is 1 (account) or 2 (sub-account).
SAT Account Group Code You must select a SAT Account Group Code from the list.
CFDI Type All accounts, and therefore journals, fall into one of the predefined types.
CFDI Mandatory You are not required to match all journal lines to a CFDI XML/UUID.

For example, you may have journal lines for Goods, VAT, and Total Amount each for a different GL account for a sales invoice. Only one of these accounts must be matched against the CFDI XML. In this example, it would be the Invoice Total Amount as that would have the same total amount as on the CFDI.

Exact Amount or Allowance Difference Select Exact Amount if the amount of the account must be the exact amount of the CFDI.

Select Allowance Difference (%) to specify the percentage that is allowed for the account balance and CFDI amount variance.

Payment Type Select a payment type from the list, if necessary.
For Internal Use Only Select this option if the account is not required in the Trail Balance or if this is not required to be included in the COA list when generating the COA output message. You can use this option to filter accounts such as corporate accounts which are not applicable in Mexico.
