The eCDF file format is used for submitting EU Sales List (ESL), also known as "Recapitulative Statement", in XML format to the Tax Authority. This is the same structure as the VAT Declaration.
The file may contain these reports:
- ESL for Goods
- ESL for Services
Software registration
The accounting tool that would facilitate generation of XML file for VAT declarations and EU Sales List reports should have an interface validated by the Luxembourg Tax Authority - Centre des technologies de l'information de l'Etat (CTIE).
Professional certificate issued by the company Luxtrust S.A. is required to allow the eCDF system determine the user's identity in an unambiguous and verifiable way through the Organizational Unit (OU) identifier.
Through Luxtrust, users can have:
- A signing certificate that allows to electronically sign documents and online transactions with the guarantee of having a legal electronic signature.
- An authentication certificate that allows to easily connect to multiple applications in state and private online that uses the services of LuxTrust, which ensures authentication in the most secure possible way in order to avoid identity theft.
