Document Recovery

Document Recovery is a tenant-level function of all the documents transmitted using ION API connection and web services gateway. This is accessed by selecting Administration > Connectivity > Document Recovery.

Every document is sent to its destination several times before the system will mark it as failed. This is for situations where the web service being called is unavailable. When a document fails to send, the system will wait 2 hours before trying the call again.

You can view the list of documents that failed communication on the main page. The next date and time of automatic submission are indicated in the Next Run field.

Perform these steps to resubmit the documents:

  1. Select Inquiry.
    Field Note
    Connectivity For documents sent through ION API connector or Web Services gateway. Recover documents that failed in the process of submission to web service.
    Gateway For documents sent through Web Services gateway only. Recover documents that failed in connector setup or IDM submission.
  2. Select the document.
  3. Click Resubmit.
    Note: The system is designed to wait for 10 minutes after the previous try before the next retry is initiated. This allows time for the system to reset itself properly.
  4. Click Yes in the confirmation window.
    The document is removed from the list as a retry is started.
