Configuration tab

This tab contains the configuration settings.

This table shows the fields in the upper part of the Configuration tab:

Field Description
Service Endpoint URL The URL that clients must use to connect to the LN Client Service. If an application URL is configured in the Login Configuration (uigwt0002m000) session, the value is displayed here. Otherwise, the URL is created from the fully qualified domain name of the UI server and the HTTPS port that is configured in the Login Configuration (uigwt0002m000) session.
Enable Service Use this check box to enable the external access of the LN Client Service

This table shows the fields in the Endpoint Security field group on the Configuration tab:

Field Description
Authentication Type Allowed values:
  • Basic Authentication - Select this value if the client application uses username and password to authenticate.
  • OAuth 1.0a - Select this value if the client application uses the ION API gateway to connect to the LN Client Service. The ION API gateway must be configured with LN Client Service as a target API.
Access Key This field is only accessible if the OAuth 1.0a authentication type is selected. You must specify an access key value that is equal to the Target Endpoint Access Key that is specified in the ION API Gateway for the available API.
(Confirm) Secret Key This field is only accessible if the OAuth 1.0a authentication type is selected. You must specify a secret key value that is equal to the Target Endpoint Secret Key that is specified in the ION API Gateway for the available API.

Test tab

Use this tab to test the LN Client Service configuration.

This table shows the fields in the Test tab:

Field or Button Description
Environment Name The LN environment that is used for the connection test.
Username The username of the user that is authenticated during the connection test.
  • If you selected an environment with the rexec or BaanLogin protocol, you must specify the username of an Enterprise Server user.
  • If you selected an environment with the BaanLogin SSL protocol, you must specify the username of a domain user.
Password The password of the user that is authenticated during the connection test.
  • If you selected an environment with the rexec or BaanLogin protocol, you must specify the password of an Enterprise Server user.
  • If you selected an environment with the BaanLogin SSL protocol, you must specify the password of a domain user.
Test connection Click Test to authenticate the specified username and password, and to verify the Enterprise Server connection.

You can test the connection even if external access is disabled; that is, if Enable Service is cleared.
