User Profile Details (uigwt0102s000)

Options > Settings > New

Use this page to view and modify user-specific LN UI settings.

This page contains these tabs:

  • LN settings
  • EM settings

    The fields on the EM settings tab are only enabled if the LN administrator has granted you access to the Infor LN Process Browser (Infor LN Enterprise Modeler).

  • Preferences

The toolbar includes the Favorites menu.

Note: 
  • After you change a setting in this page, you must restart LN UI.
  • Depending on authorization settings, some fields on the Preferences tab may be read-only.

Favorites menu

This table shows the commands in the Favorites menu:

Command Description
Import as Favorites Uploads a file that contains shortcuts that have been exported from one of these user interface versions:
  • Web UI 10.10 or later
  • Worktop 2.5.20 or later
Note: Only UTF-8-encoded files are supported!

When you select a valid file, the Import Favorites (uigwt0102s010) page is displayed.

If the LN UI landing page contains a pane with favorites, the imported shortcuts are displayed as LN favorites.

The Export Shortcuts dialog box in Worktop contains a Remove erp session tree context check box. If this check box is selected, the generated favorite does not work if you are not allowed to run programs by session code. The option to run programs by session code is stored in your User Data Template, which is usually maintained by the LN administrator.

Export Favorites Exports the LN favorites if the LN UI landing page contains a pane with favorites.

LN settings tab

This table shows the fields in the LN settings tab:

Field Description
Environment Name The name of the LN environment to which this user profile is linked.
Profile Name The unique name of this user profile for this environment. The LN UI automatically creates a user profile, with the name "Default", when you open LN UI for the first time.
Bshell Name To use another bshell than the default bshell for this LN environment, change the name of the bshell.

The default bshell is configured by the LN UI administrator.

Command Optionally, specify specific commands for the Bshell.

EM settings tab

This table shows the fields in the EM settings tab:

Field Description
Show Excluded Sub Business Processes Specify one of these values:
Yes
These processes are displayed:
  • Business processes that are part of your Enterprise Modeler role
  • Business processes that are not part of your Enterprise Modeler role
No
Only business processes that are part of your Enterprise Modeler role are displayed.
Blank
The value of the Show Excluded Sub Business Processes field in the Enterprise Modeler Parameters (tgbrg0135s000) session is used.
Older versions of the Enterprise Modeler Parameters (tgbrg0135s000) session do not contain the Show Excluded Sub Business Processes field. In that case, Yes is used as default value.
Show Only Main Processes Specify one of these values:
Yes
Only main business processes are displayed.
No
Main business processes and sub processes are displayed.
Blank
The value of the Show Only Main Processes field in the Enterprise Modeler Parameters (tgbrg0135s000) session is used.
Older versions of the Enterprise Modeler Parameters (tgbrg0135s000) session do not contain the Show Only Main Processes field. In that case, No is used as default value.
Show EM Menu Elements Specify which menu elements from the Enterprise Modeler should be displayed as menu items in the Processes/Roles menu.

You can select one or more of these values:

Help
A menu item is displayed for every customer defined help text from the Enterprise Modeler repository and from the project model. The selection includes business process help texts and activity help texts.
URL
A menu item is displayed for every URL that is specified at a business process or activity.
Support application
A menu item is displayed for all Support applications.
File based
A menu item is displayed for all file-based applications, as specified in the business processes.
App by Support App
A menu item is displayed for all applications as specified in Support applications that are linked to the business process or the activity.
Manual activity
A menu item is displayed for all manual activities.
Repeating Application
Show EM Menu Element Type as Specify how the type of Enterprise Modeler menu elements is displayed in the side navigation menu. If an application occurs multiple times in an EM process, only one menu item is displayed for that application.

You can select one of these values:

Label
The element type is displayed as a label next to the menu item.
Icon
The element type is displayed as an icon next to the menu item.
Label and Icon
The element type is displayed as both, a label and an icon, next to the menu item.
None
The element type is not displayed.
EM Company always same as ERP Company If this check box is selected, the Enterprise Modeler company changes when the LN company is changed in the LN UI.

If this check box is cleared, the Enterprise Modeler company depends on the state of the Use default Enterprise Model option.

Use default Enterprise Model If this check box is selected, the default Enterprise model and company are used, which are configured on the server for this user.

If this check box is cleared, you must specify the Enterprise Modeler settings in the following fields.

Company The Enterprise Modeler company number.
Model The Enterprise model.
Version The Enterprise Modeler version.
Optimization Phase The Enterprise Modeler optimization phase.

Preferences tab

This table shows the fields in the Preferences tab:

Field Description
Skin To change the appearance of LN, you can select one of these pre-defined skins:
  • Light
  • Dark
  • High contrast

If you leave this field blank, the skin that the administrator has defined for the LN environment is applied.

If a custom skin has been defined and published through the Custom Skin Editor (uigwt0108m000), then this field contains the additional Custom option.

If Custom is selected, then the customized skin is applied to your user interface.

If you are authorized to use the Custom Skin Editor (uigwt0108m000), then you can start it from the Options menu.

The authorization to use the Custom Skin Editor (uigwt0108m000) can be configured in the User Data Template (ttams1110m000) session.

Navigation Menu Skin To change the appearance of the navigation menu, you can select one of these pre-defined skins:
  • White
  • Graphite
  • Amber
  • Amethyst
  • Azure
  • Emerald
  • Ruby
  • Slate
  • Turquoise

If a custom skin has been defined and published through the Custom Skin Editor (uigwt0108m000), then an additional option, Custom, is available. Select this option to activate the custom skin for the navigation menu.

Font You can use this option to change the font.

Specify one of these values:

  • Classic

    The Arial/Helvetica font is used. This is the default font.

  • Modern

    The Source Sans Pro font is used. If the font resources cannot be retrieved, for example, if public internet access is limited, the default font, Arial/Helvetica, is used instead.

Display density Specify the display density settings. These settings change the vertical spacing of all forms.

Allowed values:

  • Compact: highest density
  • Default: normal density
  • Comfortable: lowest density
Start sessions in new browser window Specify one of these values:
  • Enabled: When you start LN sessions, each session is displayed in a separate browser window. You cannot start multiple sessions in a single browser window.
  • Disabled: When you start LN sessions, all sessions are displayed in the same browser window as LN UI.
Number of rows to scroll per mouse wheel tick Specify the number of grid rows to scroll per mouse wheel tick.
Automatically expand and collapse the navigation menu You can use this option to automatically expand and collapse the side navigation menu.

Possible values:

Enabled
If the menu is hidden, the menu expands when you move the mouse near the left edge of the screen. As long as the mouse remains in the expanded menu section of the screen, the menu stays in this state. When you move the mouse away from the navigation menu, the menu section of the screen automatically collapses again.
Disabled
The menu does not automatically expand and collapse.
Visibility of zoom icons in overview sessions You can use this option to change the appearance of zoom icons in overview sessions.

Possible values:

Only visible when hovered
The zoom icon is visible only if the mouse pointer rests on an editable lookup field. This is the default behavior.
Always visible for editable fields
The zoom icon is always visible for editable lookup fields.
Always visible
The zoom icon is always visible for all lookup fields.
Session history order This field may be hidden depending on user profile template settings.

Specify one of these values:

  • Recently Used: On the landing page, the previously used sessions are ordered according to how recently they were started.
  • Frequently Used: On the landing page, the previously used sessions are ordered from most used to least used.
Screen reader mode This field indicates whether JAWS screen reader software is supported.

Possible values:

Disabled
LN UI does not support the JAWS screen reader software.
Enabled
LN UI enables some adaptations so that you can use it in combination with the JAWS screen reader and a locally installed custom JAWS script. Tested support is provided for JAWS 17 in combination with Internet Explorer 11. For the best user experience, use LN UI in stand-alone mode.
Enabled (including grid)
LN UI enables some adaptations so that you can use it out-of-the-box in combination with the JAWS screen reader. Tested support is provided for JAWS 2020 in combination with Microsoft Edge 85.x and Chrome 85.x or later. For the best user experience, use LN UI in stand-alone mode.
Note: This functionality is only supported for the German language. See Infor Support Portal KB 1974288.
Quick selection of items in listboxes This field determines the keyboard support behavior for list boxes.

Possible values:

Disabled
When you specify a keyboard character, a search pane is opened, and all items containing the character are displayed.

To navigate multiple matching items, press up arrow and down arrow.

To confirm the selection, press Tab or Enter.

Enabled
When you specify a keyboard character, the first item starting with this character is selected. When you specify the character again, the next item, if any, starting with the same character is selected.

To navigate all listbox items in the search pane, press up arrow and down arrow.

If the search pane is visible, press Tab or Enter to confirm the selection.
