Active Currencies
Dashboards that display amounts include the Active Currencies report:
A stacked column chart shows active currencies based on selections made for currency type and financial company:
Currencies are visualized as columns with stacks for each financial company linked to your data.
If the report shows multiple currencies, amounts are aggregated in multiple currencies and you must change selections.
The easiest way is to lasso (visually select and filter) the financial companies for a single currency. But you can also use the currency type and financial company filters:
- The default for currency type filter is the reference currency.
- No default is set for the financial company filter. The filter is offered in logistic dashboards and can be used to prevent aggregation of amounts in multiple currencies.
The currency setup in the financial companies in LN determines the number of active currencies:
- The reference currency typically is the same.
- The data warehouse currency is recommended to be the same and can be used if the reference currency differs, or just as a second currency to analyze data.
- The local currency, reporting currency 1 and 2, and transaction currency can be different and require filtering to prevent aggregation of amounts in multiple currencies.
