Locale selections
Infor LN Analytics for Birst supports up to five languages for enumerates and multi data language enabled fields (MLE). If you have imported more than five language packs in LN or have more than five data languages set up in LN, you do not see all translated data values in Birst.
This table shows the required locales based on your LN situation:
Multi-data language setup | Required locale selections |
---|---|
Disabled | en_US |
Enabled | en_US + LN’s data language that has a status of ‘Base Language’ |
To determine if multi data language is disabled or enabled in LN:
- In Infor Ming.le, navigate to LN.
- In LN, select .
- Start the Parameters Multi Data Language Support (ttadv4106m000) session and verify the setting of the Multi data Language Support check box.
- Start the Data Languages
(ttaad1111m000) session and verify the data languages and the base language
(data language for which the Status is set to Base Language).Note: IMS publishing requires data languages to include a country code specification.
If a base language is set in the Data Languages (ttaad1100m000) session, all multibyte strings are sent from LN to the data lake, with at least the base language locale. It does not matter whether an LN table is registered for MLE or not. If no base language is set (MLE is not enabled), all multibyte strings are sent from LN to the data lake using the en_US locale.
In ION Desk, you can set the locales by navigating to .
