Workflows

Workflows define a flow of steps and tasks within a step that must be executed in sequence to extract data from Data Lake and fill the Birst data warehouse.

Provisioned workflows for Infor LN Analytics for Birst use these task types:

Set Variable

Tasks of this task type are used to assign a value to a variable in a space.

Extract

Tasks of this task type are used to extract tables (part of an extraction group) in a space through a connection to Data Lake.

Process

Tasks of this task type are used to process data sources (part of a processing group) in a space.

Task types Copy Space and Swap Space are not used in Infor LN Analytics for Birst.

Infor delivers these workflows:

• Workflow to set up the Extensibility space
• Workflow to set up the Consumer space
• Workflow to set the extraction user variables
• Workflow to set the reporting user variables
• Workflow to set the Program Cost Ledger user variables
• Workflows to extract and process
• Workflow to delete all data in the data warehouse

You cannot change the Infor-delivered workflows. If you want to make changes, you can clone the Workflow through the UI and make your changes in your cloned workflow.
