Adding dimensions and facts in Customer spaces

A Birst license that allows for the use of the Network BI features of Birst is required to add additional facts and dimensions to the analytics solution.

Create your own Source space that contains the raw source and any basic ETL scripts. These sources can come from the Infor Data Lake by using the provided Birst shared connection or can contain data from elsewhere on the Internet or an internal source. These sources and scripts should contain any incremental load logic.

In addition to the source space, we recommend that a Model space is created that contains the ETL scripts that transforms the raw sources into your fact tables and dimensions. This model space can import the Infor-provided dimensions as well as your custom sources through packages. You can use the Grain tab to tie the custom facts to these dimensions. Publish the custom facts and dimensions in a package and import into the Consumer space.

Note: Do not make changes in the Infor Extraction and Model spaces, because your changes will be overwritten during the next content-version update.
