Picking profiles

A picking profile is a group of criteria used to select the outbound advice lines to be picked by a user. For example, picking profile A is linked to user B and consists of these criteria:

  • From storage zone C
  • To business partner D

This means that user B is to pick all goods from storage zone C that are to be shipped to customer D.

Picking profiles are used to divide the picking activities among the warehouse operators of a warehouse. After the outbound advice or the picking lists have been generated, each operator can pick the outbound advice lines selected by the criteria of the picking profile allocated to him or her. If more than one picking profile is allocated to a user, after completing the first picking profile, the user selects the next picking profile.

Typically, picking profiles are used when Factory Track is integrated with LN, in which case the picking profiles are displayed in a predefined order on the scanner display of the user.

If LN is not integrated with a barcode scanning system, the picking lists filtered by the picking profiles are handled in the Picking List by Picking Profile (whinh4525m200) session.
