Generate visit report (in Mobile Service)

Importing the default template

When LN Mobile Service is installed, a default visit report template is available as an additional file with filename ‘LN_Mobile_Service_Visit_Report_Template.rtf’.

This file can be imported for the selected visit report template using the Import Default Rtf Template option in the Visit Report Templates (tsmdm5100m000) session and can be customized, if required. If a template file is already available for the selected template, the user is prompted to overwrite the existing visit report template.

Downloading template

You can download a template using the Download Template option in the Visit Report Templates (tsmdm5100m000) session. You can customize or modify this default visit report template using applications such as MS Word or WordPad.

Uploading template

You can upload a template using the Upload Template option in the Visit Report Templates (tsmdm5100m000) session.

If a template file is already available for the selected template, the user is prompt to overwrite the existing visit report template.

Generate Visit Report (in Mobile Service)

The following search method is used to select the correct visit report template:

  1. First, the template that matches the sold-to business partner and the service department of the service order, and with the effective date on or before the system date, is selected. The template with the most recent effective date (on or before the system date) is used.
  2. If a matching template is not found, LN next searches for a template defined for the sold-to business partner of the service order, considering the template effective date. The service department is not considered.
  3. If a matching template is not found, LN next searches for a template defined for the service department, considering the template effective date. The sold-to business partner is not considered.
  4. If a matching template is not found, LN considers the template that is not defined for a specific sold-to business partner and service department.
  5. If a template is not found based on any of the searches or when visit report templates are not defined at all, the default template that is available with the installation of LN Mobile Service, is used.
