Group Sets for Projects (tsspc2190m300)

Use this session to view and maintain group sets generated from group planning activity sets for projects.

Note:

This session is displayed only if the Group Planning for Projects Implemented check box is selected in the Resource Planning Parameters (tsspc0101m000) session.

This session is not displayed if the Planned by Origin check box is selected on the Projects tab in the Resource Planning Parameters (tsspc0101m000) session.

Field Information

Start Date Groups

The start date of the group set. LN displays the group sets with a start date later than the specified date.

Finish Date Groups

The finish date of the group set. LN displays the group set with a finish date earlier than the specified date.

Group Set

The unique ID of the group set.

Activity Origin

The origin of the activities in the group sets. By default, the value is set to Project .

Allowed values

Service Order
Work Order
Planned Activity
Project
Non-Conformance Report
Corrective Action Plan
Job Shop Order
Project (PCS)
Target Number of Groups

The number of groups created for the group set.

Existing Number of Groups

The number of groups available for the group set.

Workload Leveling Method

The method to level the workload for group planning.

Allowed values

Scheduling

This leveling method uses the finish time of the groups in a group to divide the activities over two or more groups.

Geographically

This leveling method uses the total activity duration and travel time in a region to divide the activities over two or more groups.

Initialize Center of Gravity

If this check box is selected, the center of gravity must be re-calculated during each iteration.

Number of Iterations

The number of iterations to be performed by the territory planning engine for the projects. A maximum of 10 iterations can be performed. The default value is five.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Workload Leveling Method is set to Geographically.
Lower Limit Standard Deviation of Work Load

The lower limit you set as the standard deviation. The planning engines perform the workload leveling geographically to reset the total of activity duration and travel duration across groups until the standard deviation is reached.

Time Duration Unit

The measurement unit for Lower Limit Standard Deviation of Work Load. The deviation is expressed in the Time Duration Unit set in the General Service Parameters (tsmdm0100m000) session.

Maximum Indicative Length of Route

The maximum indicative length of the route calculated by the planning engineer when workload leveling is performed. The maximum value can be set up individually for each group of attribute values. This calculation helps avoid long routes.

Distance Unit

The measurement unit for Maximum Indicative Length of Route. The length of route is expressed in the Distance Unit set in the General Service Parameters (tsmdm0100m000) session.

Sort Method

The method to sort the project activities in a group set.

Allowed values

Earliest Start
Latest Finish
Latest Start
Planned Start
Planned Finish
Plan Method

The method to plan the project activities in a group set.

Allowed values

Planning Based on Time
Planning Based on Route
Respect Earliest Start Time

If this check box is selected, LN considers the earliest start time to plan the project activity.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Workload Leveling Method field is set to Scheduling.
Planned Start Time

The planned start date and time of the first activity in the specified group set.

Note: The value in this field is defaulted from the groups (defined in Groups for Projects (tsspc3100m400) session) linked to the group set.
Planned Finish Time

The planned finish date and time of the last activity in the specified group set.

Note: The value in this field is defaulted from the groups (defined in Groups for Projects (tsspc3100m400) session) linked to the group set.
Total Activity Duration

The cumulative duration of travel for all the activities in the group set.

Note: The value in this field is defaulted from the groups (defined in Groups for Projects (tsspc3100m400) session) linked to the group set.
