Cost Service Orders (tssoc2290m000)

Use this session to, cost a range of service orders, service order activities and cost lines.

Note: To cost service orders one by one, select the Interactive check box and click Cost. The Interactive Costing for Service Orders (tssoc4110m000) session starts.

Field Information

Selection Criteria Level

Select the level at which you must cost service orders.

The three selection criteria levels are:

  • Order LN costs the selected service orders.
  • Activity LN costs the activity of the selected service orders.
  • Cost Line LN costs the cost line of the selected service orders.
Interactive

If this check box is selected, and you click Cost, the Interactive Costing for Service Orders (tssoc4110m000) session starts.

Note: If this check box is cleared, and you click Cost, the range of service orders, service order activities and cost lines selected are costed on the basis of the values you select in the Settings group box.
Service Order

The From and To fields define a range of: service orders to be costed.

Note: If you set Selection Criteria Level to Activity, this field is enabled.

Cost Line

The From and To fields define a range of: cost lines to be costed.

Note: If you set Selection Criteria Level to Cost Line, this field is enabled.

Note: If you set Selection Criteria Level to Cost Line, this field is enabled.
Cost Type

The From and To fields define a range of: cost types to be costed.

Note: If you set Selection Criteria Level to Cost Line, this field is enabled.

Cost Zero Quantity (Other Costs)

If this check box is selected, LN considers the other cost lines with the zero quantity when the status of a range of service orders, service order activities and cost lines are set to Costed.

Order Date

The From and To fields define a range of: order date.

Note: The service orders that belong to the selected order date range are costed.
Order Date

The From and To fields define a range of: order date.

Note: The service orders that belong to the selected order date range are costed.
Service Orders

If this check box is selected, the Selection Criteria Level field is set to Activity, service orders are costed after all the activities for the selected service orders are costed. In this scenario, the Cost Lines linked to service order header must be costed before the service order can be costed.

Note: 

The availability of the Service Orders check box is determined by the Selection Criteria Level setting:

  • Order: The Service Orders check box is unavailable.
  • Activity: The Service Orders check box is available.
  • Cost Line: The Service Order check box is available.
Service Order Activities

If this check box is selected, and set the Selection Criteria Level to Cost Line, service order activities are costed after all cost lines for the service order activities are costed.

Note: 

The Selection Criteria Level setting determines the availability of the Service Orders Activities check box:

  • Order: The Service Orders check box is unavailable.
  • Activity: The Service Orders check box is available.
  • Cost Line: The Service Order check box is available.
Process Report

If this check box is selected, LN prints the list of service orders, activities and cost lines that are costed.

Exception Report

If this check box is selected, LN prints the list of service orders which are not costed, because of the ceiling on invoice amount.

Error Report

If this check box is selected, LN prints the errors that blocked the costing of service orders, activities and cost lines.

Ignore unapproved Purchase Invoices

If this check box is selected, LN does not cost the service orders for which unapproved purchase invoices are present.

If this check box is cleared, LN also costs the service orders for which unapproved purchase invoices are present.

Maximum Limit for Invoice Amount

Service orders, activities or cost lines with invoice amount less than the amount specified here are considered for costing.

Note: 
  • If the selection criteria level is order, the maximum limit for the invoice amount are applied at the order level.
  • If the selection criteria level is activity, the maximum limit for the invoice amount are applied at the activity level.
  • If the selection criteria is cost line, the maximum limit for the invoice amount are applied at the cost line level.
Maximum Limit for Other Amount

Service orders, activities or cost lines with other amount less than the amount specified here are considered for costing.

Note: 
  • If the selection criteria level is order, the maximum limit for the other amount are applied at the order level.
  • If the selection criteria level is activity, the maximum limit for the other amount are applied at the activity level.
  • If the selection criteria is cost line, the maximum limit for the other amount are applied at the cost line level.
Lower Margin %

Service orders, activities, or cost lines with higher gross margin than the percentage specified in this field are costed.

Upper Margin %

Service orders, activities, or cost lines with gross margins lower than the percentage specified in this field are costed.
