Supersede Serialized Item (tscfg2240m000)

Use this session to register and manage the changes to the top item in the physical breakdown structure and/or the serial number of the item without replacing the serialized items physically. The serialized item, if superseded, is maintained in this session. The original serialized item, to which the changes are applied, is also maintained in this session.

If the top item is present in a warehouse, a transfer order is generated (ERP LN processes this order, no manual intervention is required). This warehouse order must be processed without user interaction. When the warehouse transfer order is created successfully, the Status of the superseded serialized Item (old) is set to Superseded in the Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) session. The relation between the superseded Item (old) and the Item (new) is maintained in the Physical Breakdown Changes (tscfg2140m000) session. ERP LN selects the Item Superseded check box, to indicate that the Item is superseded.

Note:

This session is displayed only if the Physical Breakdown Changes check box is selected in the Configuration Management Parameters (tscfg0100m000) session.

You can modify the data only for the item that has the Status set to Superseded in the Serialized Items (tscfg2100m000) session.

Field Information

Item

The code of the top/parent serialized item that is superseded by the New Item.

Serial Number

The serial number of the top/parent serialized item. The components of this item are changed.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Warranty

The code of the warranty that is active and linked to the source Serial Number.

Warranty Description (Source)

The description or name of the code.

Change Number

The number that identifies a change in the physical breakdown structure of the Item.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Item

The code of the new item that supersedes the top/parent Item.

Serial Number

The serial number of the New Item that supersedes the top/parent item.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Warranty

The code of the warranty that is active and linked to the target Serial Number.

Warranty Description (Target)

The description or name of the code.

Lot

The lot number of the new item in the physical breakdown structure.

Revision

The revision code of the serialized item.

Copy Source Serialized Item Data

If this check box is selected, the source serialized item data is copied to the target serialized item.

Copy Logistical and Operational Data

If this check box is selected, the logistical and operational data of the source serialized item data is copied to the target serialized item. If this check box is cleared, the data is defaulted from the item master data of the target item.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Copy Source Serialized Item Data check box is selected.

Copy Text

If this check box is selected, the logistical and operational text data of the source serialized item data is copied to the target serialized item.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Copy Source Serialized Item Data check box is selected.

Copy Counter Readings from Source Serialized Item

If this check box is selected, the counter readings linked to the source serialized item are copied to the target serialized item.

This check box is displayed only if the Use Inspections check box is selected in the General Service Parameters (tsmdm0100m000) session.

Copy Warranty Terms and Allocations from Source Serialized Item

If this check box is selected, the Warranty Terms and Allocations linked to the source Serial Number are defaulted to the target Serial Number.

Note:

This field is enabled only if:

A warranty is linked to the source Serial Number and the warranty is not expired or terminated.
A warranty is not linked to the target Serial Number.

Warranty Type

Indicates the type of the warranty.

Allowed values

Generic Warranty
No Warranty
Serialized Item Warranty

Note: This field is enabled only if the Copy Warranty Terms and Allocations from Source Serialized Item check box is cleared.

Warranty Template

The code of the warranty template that is linked to the target Item.

Note:

This field is enabled only if the Copy Warranty Terms and Allocations from Source Serialized Item check box is cleared.
If the Warranty Type field is set to Serialized Item Warranty, you can select a template defined in the Serialized Item Warranty (tscfg2650m000) session.
If the Warranty Type field is set to Generic Warranty, you can select a template defined in the Generic Warranty (tsctm5600m000) session.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Start Date

The date from when the warranty is applicable to the target Item.

Note: This field is enabled only if the Copy Warranty Terms and Allocations from Source Serialized Item check box is cleared.

Process Report

If this check box is selected, LN generates a process report.

Error Report

If this check box is selected, LN generates an error report.
