Customize items

You can use the Customize Items in Budget (tpptc1255m000) session to customize items for a range of material budget lines. You can select a specific or a range of projects, plans, elements, activities, and items based on which the customization can be performed. The budget line is updated with the customized item. If the item quantity of the budget line is zero, the quantity is updated to one, after the customization of the item is completed.

You can customize items in a project budget only:

For standard items that are manufactured and have a to-order policy.
For generic items that are configured in Product Configuration or in the Configurator templates.
If the project status is set to Active in the Project (tppdm6100m400) session.
If the budget status is set to Active in the Element Budget session.

Note: You can also customize the items for a project or a budget is copied that is copied from element budget to activity budget. The copied items cannot be customized, as the link with a PCS project is project specific.

When an item is customized, you can:

Generate a new PCS project for each budget line. OR,
Generate a new PCS project for all budget lines. OR,
Modify the existing PCS project for all budget line. OR,
Maintain no PCS project for the budget line.

You can also set the status of the PCS project and also set the planning method that applies to the PCS project. You can also set the date that must be considered to set the start and finish date of the PCS project. Infor LN allows you to calculate and update the standard cost calculation and unit cost of the budget line.
