Copy Generic Assembly Bill of Material (tipcf3217m000)

Use this session to copy the data from a generic assembly bill of material (BOM) to a new or existing generic assembly bill of material.

Note: This session can be accessed only if:

The Configurations by Site field is set to Active or In Preparation in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
The Assembly (APL/ASC/ASL) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
The Product Configurator (PCF) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.
You can use the Copy option from the Action menu to copy the data of the specified generic assembly bill of material to a new or existing generic assembly bill of material.

Field Information

Source

Site: The code of the site associated with the source generic assembly bill of material.
Product: The code of the product associated with the source generic assembly bill of material.
Version: The version number of the source generic assembly bill of material.
Position: The From and To fields define a range of position numbers of the generic assembly bill of material lines.

Target

Site

The code of the site associated with the target generic assembly bill of material.

Product

The code of the product associated with the target generic assembly bill of material.

Version

The version number of the target generic assembly bill of material.

Copy Method

Indicates the method used to copy the generic assembly bill of material data.

Allowed values

Create: The version is copied into a new version of the target.
Overwrite: The existing materials of the target bill of material are overwritten by the source revision. The materials that do not exist in the source bill of material are not removed.
Add and Renumber: The materials of the source bill of materials are added to the target bill of materials and renumbered.

Options

Retain Constraint IDs when Creating New Version: If this check box is selected, the constraint IDs of the source generic assembly bill of material are copied to the target generic assembly bill of material. If this check box is cleared, the default constraint IDs are updated for the target generic assembly bill of material.
BOM Text: If this check box is selected, the text related to the generic assembly bill of material is copied to the target generic assembly bill of material.
