Searching for Use Up

The item to be replaced must have the Last Allowed Order Date set in the Items - Ordering by Site (tcibd2150m000) session. Before this date, the item is still ordered. For demand after this date, if Use Up stock or schedules receipts are available, this is considered initially, and the material demand for the use up item exists for the order. In other cases, demand is for the new material.

For Assembly Orders, Infor LN checks for use up in succeeding steps in the assembly processes:

  • Calculate Assembly Part Requirements (tiapl2221m000)
  • Generate Assembly Orders (tiapl3201m000)
  • Build Assembly Part Allocation (tiasc7240m000)
  • Refresh and Freeze Assembly Orders (tiapl3203m000)

For Production Orders (Job Shop), LN uses the following methods to determine if an alternative material is available on the required date:

  • In the Enterprise Planning package

Infor LN checks the available-to-promise quantity of the material.

  • In the Job Shop Control module

Infor LN checks the time-phased economic stock of the material.

  • In the Warehousing package

Infor LN checks the inventory on hand for the material.

  • To distribute a material requirement over multiple materials
