Using Asset Book Transactions

Asset book transactions are the actions you can perform on an asset book to record data about different stages in the asset's life. It is a record of the processing an asset undergoes after you enter it into LN.

There are several types of transactions you can record in the asset book. They are as follows:

• Adjusting Asset Books, to modify information that is no longer directly editable.
• Depreciating Asset Books, to calculate and record the periodic decrease in expense due to wear and tear over time.
• Restating Depreciation for Asset Books, to recalculate depreciation due to an error in data input.
• Disposing Asset Books, to remove all or part of an asset book from service.
• Transferring Asset Books, to move all or part of an asset to another location.
• Asset Book Revaluation, to revaluate the current asset cost by using the defined revaluation index.
