Check Inventory Sales Orders (tdsls4217m000)

Use this session to check whether sufficient inventory is available to deliver a sales order line or sales order component line on time.

After the inventory is checked, LN assigns an order promising status to the line.

When LN runs this session, LN completes the following steps for a line:

  1. Checks the inventory. If no shortage exists, the line receives the Accepted status.
  2. If an inventory shortage exists for the line, LN checks whether an Automatic Inventory Shortage Handling option is present for the item type and order type in the Sales Order Types (tdsls0594m000) session. If not, the line receives the Not Accepted status.
  3. Carries out the automatic inventory shortage handling option for the line. If the inventory shortage option is unsuccessfully carried out, the line receives the Exception status.
  4. Modifies the line following the rules of the inventory shortage option. The line receives the Accepted status.
Note: Lines whose inventory must be checked by SCM Order Promiser, are not included in this session.
