Field Information
- Criterion
-
Note: You can define as many subjective criteria as desired.
- Parent Criterion
-
If you do not specify a parent criterion in this field, the level of the subjective criterion is 0. If you specify a parent criterion, LN assigns the level of 1 or higher.
Example
The subjective criterion Customer service does not have a parent criterion, so LN assigns the level of 0.
The subjective criteria Call handling and Technical support both have Customer service as the parent criterion, so LN assigns the level of 1.
- Level
-
The level of the subjective criterion in the tree structure. LN assigns the level based on the parent criterion that is linked to the subjective criterion.
- Weighting
-
The weighting reflects the relative importance of the subjective criterion. It is recommended to specify weightings in terms of percentages. For example, if the criterion is considered to have a weighting of 40% in the rating, specify a value of 40 in this field.
However, this weighting is relative to other criteria weightings.
Criteria weighting Criteria A 2 Criteria B 2 Criteria C 4 Criteria weighting Criteria A 25 Criteria B 25 Criteria C 50 The weightings of example 1 and 2 have exactly the same effect in vendor rating calculations.
So, it is important to know the weightings of the other criteria, in order to correctly set the relative importance.
You can convert all criteria weightings to true percentages in the Normalize Criteria Weightings (tdpur8852m000) session.
