Product Category Tax Matrix (tctax6102m000)
Use this session to link a product relation type to the selected product category, and select the product relation's elements.
You must specify the element or range of elements that corresponds with the selected product-relation type. For example, if you select the Item Group product-relation type, you must select an item group or a range of item groups.
You must enter a value in the Effective Date and Expiry Date fields.
The tax provider uses the product category to determine the tax amounts of:
- Items or item groups specified in this session, if you enter the item or item group on a sales order, on a purchase order, and on a service order.
- Service contracts of a contract type specified in this session.
- Project cost objects entered on a project invoice.
- Taxable transactions entered in Financials that use a ledger account specified in this session. These are typically, manually entered sales invoices and journal entry adjustments.
