Authorization Roles (tcsec0120m000)

Use this session to create Authorization Roles that are used to set up data authorization for a group of employees with the same role. The permissions for these roles are set up in the Permissions (tcsec3100m000) session.

This session also allows you to import an AMS or EM role to retain a link between a role in AMS or EM and the authorization role. A role can be similar to an AMS or EM role, or multiple roles can be linked to the same AMS or EM role. For example, the PROJMAN AMS role, that is a project manager, is linked to PROJMAN_US and PROJMAN_EU data authorization security roles. This ensures that even though the access to the data is different, the access to the session remains the same.

Additionally, if theSupport Export of SEC Roles to AMS check box is selected in the AMS Parameters (ttams0100m000) session, you can click Generate Authorization Roles in AMS on the Actions menu to generate role data in the Role Data (ttams4100m000) session. The generated roles are SEC roles with the authorization and security company as central company.
