Tax Exceptions by Tax Location (tcmcs1139m000)

Use this session to maintain exceptions to the tax codes for destination sales tax assigned by GEO code in the Tax Codes by GEO Code (tcmcs1136m000) session. You must maintain exceptions when the tax liability for a particular destination depends on the place of origin of the shipment.

Note: In the case of conflicting data, exceptions defined in the Tax Exceptions (tcmcs1138m000) session have a higher priority than those defined here.

Field Information

Country

The country to which the specified exceptions by tax location apply.

GEO Code Destination

The destination location's GEO code for which you define exceptions by tax location.

Default value

The GEO code of the previous record.

Note: If you leave this field empty, the exception applies to all destination GEO codes.
GEO Code Origin

The GEO code of the location from where the goods are delivered.

In the case of sales orders, this is the GEO code of the warehouse from which the goods are shipped.

Note: If you leave this field empty, the exception applies to all origin GEO codes.
GEO Code Postal Address

LN uses the GEO code of the postal address to approximate the order-origin address when selecting the proper default tax code for a particular destination, if needed.

Note: If you leave this field empty, the exception applies to all GEO codes.
Tax Code

The tax code to be used as a default when the specified combination of country and destination GEO code occurs on an order or invoice.
