Number Groups (tcmcs0151m000)

Use this session to maintain number groups. You must use the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session to add series to a number group.

You can dedicate the number group to a specific purpose. All the numbers that LN generates in the number groups that are dedicated to the same purpose are unique.

If the In Use check box is selected, you cannot change or remove the number group. However, you can still add series to such a number group.

Note:

If you use unit effectivity, you must:

  • Define a number group for for effectivity units.
  • Set the series length of the number group to zero.
  • Define one series for the number group in the First Free Numbers (tcmcs0150m000) session.
  • Select the number group in the Unit Effectivity Parameters (tcuef0100s000) session.

If you start this session by zooming, you can only select the number groups that are available for the purpose for which you select a number group.
