Copy Item Data (tcibd0205m000)

Use this session to copy a source item to a new (target) item. You must specify a new item code for the target item.

The item data by subentity, such as the item-sales data and item-ordering data, is also copied.

You can select the various check boxes to duplicate additional item data. If a check box does not apply to the source item type, the check box is disabled.

If you copy an item to a project item, LN creates a new record in the Project Parts (tipcs2111m000) session.

Field Information

Source

Item: The item of which you copy the data to the new item.

Target

Item

The item code of the duplicate item. You must enter a new, unique item code.

Note: If the project segment is present for the duplicate item, the segment Customized check box is selected. The With PCS check box is copied.

Description

The description of the new item.

Project Part Quantity

The quantity of the project part. LN copies the value of this field to the Quantity field in the Project Parts (tipcs2111m000) session.

LN uses the project part quantity in the calculation of the standard cost of a project item.

This field is available only if you entered the code of a valid project in the project segment of the new item's item code.

Copy

Alternative Items

If this check box is selected, LN also copies the list of alternative items defined for the source item to the target item.

Note: Alternative items are listed in the Alternative Items (tcibd0505m000) session.

Bill of Material

If this check box is selected, LN also copies the source item's production BOM to the target item.

Routing

If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's routing to the target item.

E-Item Relations

If this check box is selected, LN creates a relation between the target item and the same engineering items which the source item is linked to in the Engineering Item - Item Relationship (tiedm1101m000) session.

Supplying Relationships

If this check box is selected, LN copies the item's supplying relationships, defined in the Supplying Relationships (cprpd7130m000) session.

Item Text

If this check box is selected, LN also copies any text that is attached to the source item to the target item.

Business Partners by Item

If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's information that you defined in the Items - Purchase Business Partner (tdipu0110m000) session and in the Items - Sales Business Partner (tdisa0510m000) session to the target item.

If a business partner is entered in the Buy-from Business Partner field of the Items - Purchase (tdipu0101m000) session, an item-purchase business partner record is automatically inserted in the Items - Purchase Business Partner (tdipu0110m000) session.

If this check box is cleared, the automatically generated item-purchase business partner record is always copied. However, the additional purchase business partners that you entered for the item in the Items - Purchase Business Partner (tdipu0110m000) session, are not copied.

Project Activities

If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's project activities to the target item.

Reference Designators

If this check box is selected, LN copies the reference designators that are linked to the item.

Requirements by Item

If this check box is selected, LN copies the item's requirements, defined in the Item - Requirements (tcuef0108m000) session.

Copy Site and Office Data

Items by Site and Items by Office

If this check box is selected, the item by site and item by office data of the source item is copied to item by site and office data for the target item.

Note: This check box is available only if you use multisite.

Copy Product Configuration Data

Constraints: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's constraints that you defined in the Product Configuration module to the target item.
Features and Options: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's features that you defined in the Product Configuration module to the target item.
Settings Item Generations: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's data that you defined in the Generic Item - Settings for Data Generation (tipcf3101m000) session of the Product Configuration module, to the target item.
Generic Bills of Material: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's data that you defined in the Configurable Item - Structure (tipcf3100m100) session of the Product Configuration module to the target item.
Generic Routing: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's generic routing that you defined in the Configurable Item - Structure (tipcf3100m100) session of the Product Configuration module to the target item.
Generic Price Lists: If this check box is selected, LN copies the source item's data that you defined in the Generic Price Lists (tipcf4101m000) session of the Product Configuration module, to the target item.

Options

Calculate Standard Cost and Valuation Price

If this check box is selected, LN calculates and actualizes the cost price and the valuation price of the target item.

You can select or clear this check box if the target item is of one of the following types:

Standard
Manufactured
Purchased
Cost
Service

Approve Conversion Factors

If this check box is selected, LN copies the conversion factors to the target item, and then directly approves the conversion factors

If this check box is cleared, LN copies the conversion factors to the target item. However, use the Conversion Factors (tcibd0103m000) session to manually approve the conversion factors.
