Planning Clusters (tcemm1135m000)

Use this session to define planning clusters.

Note:
  • LN only supports planning clusters for warehouses.
  • To link a warehouse to a planning cluster, select the relevant planning cluster in the Warehouses (tcemm1112m000) session.
  • If the multisite concepts are activated, these rules apply:

    • A warehouse is linked to a site, and the site is linked to the planning cluster.
    • Planning clusters are mandatory. A planning cluster must be linked to one or more sites.
    • A site must be linked to a planning cluster.
    • A site cannot be linked to more than one planning cluster.

Field Information

Planning Cluster

planning cluster

External

If this check box is selected, the planning cluster is linked to subcontractor sites or the planning cluster is used in planning for VMI Forecast.

This depends on the settings of these check boxes:

  • Holds Subcontractor Sites
  • Customer Site

Holds Subcontractor Sites

If this check box is selected, one or more subcontractor sites are linked to the planning cluster. Subcontractor sites are sites at which subcontractors perform activities that are subcontracted to them.

The Exclude From Enterprise Planning check box is automatically selected if you select this check box.

Note: Internal planning clusters, that is, planning clusters for which the External check box is cleared, can also include subcontractor sites.
Customer Site

If this check box is selected, the planning cluster is used in planning for VMI Forecast and is linked to sites that belong to a customer. Typically, this is not more than one site.

This check box is available if the External check box is selected in the current session and the VMI (supplier side) check box is selected in the Implemented Software Components (tccom0100s000) session.

Sold-to Business Partner

The sold-to business partner associated with this planning cluster.

In a vendor managed inventory (VMI) setup, LN uses the planning cluster's sold-to business partner and optionally the ship-to business partner to search for a terms and conditions agreement between you and a customer for which you perform the supply planning.

Ship-to Business Partner

The ship-to business partner associated with this planning cluster.

In a vendor managed inventory (VMI) setup, LN uses the planning cluster's sold-to business partner and optionally the ship-to business partner to search for a terms and conditions agreement between you and a customer for which you perform the supply planning.

Exclude From Enterprise Planning

If this check box is selected, the planning cluster is not used in Enterprise Planning .
