Planning and releasing external hired rental agreement

An agreement for external hired equipment can be planned only if a rental cost line with the Cost Specification Type, Rental Period Costs, exists.

This line can be added manually or retrieved from a reference activity. When the rental agreement is planned, the corresponding Equipment Procurement Order line is created.

Note: If an agreement with the status Free is released, the application first plans the agreement and creates the Equipment Procurement Order line.

If the External Hire check box is selected for an already planned agreement, the agreement must be re-planned first and then released. You can clear the External Hire check box after the agreement is released.
