Services Procurement Orders overview

The Services Procurement functionality enables an organization to identify, evaluate, and procure different types of services that are required for a project or to complete a task. Generally, the services are procured from the internal departments. If the requirement is huge or if resources are not available within the organization, services are procured from the external subcontractors. The prospective external subcontractors are identified based on the Services Trade and Nature of Supply.

Services Procurement Orders are of two types:

Subcontracting Procurement Orders
These orders are used to hire subcontractors to perform the scope of work. A subcontracting procurement order can be created for a project or independently.
Equipment Procurement Orders

These orders are used to rent an equipment. An equipment procurement order can be created for a project or independently.
