Changing Owning project of document

You can change the owning project of a document. When you change the owning project of a document, users of the new project have unrestricted access to the document, whereas the users in the current projects have limited access to the document.

To change the (Owning) project to which the document is assigned:

  1. Select PLM Data Management > Document and File Management > Documents. The Documents (pdpdm2500m000) session is displayed.
  2. Select the required document.
  3. Click Change Owning Project from the Actions menu. The Change Owning Project (pdadm1101m300)session is displayed.
  4. Select the required project.
  5. Select the Linked Objects check box to change the project of the linked objects.
  6. Click Change Owning Project. The (Owning) project of the document is modified.
    Note: Change Owning Project removes access to original Project based on the preferences. If the check box is selected in Preferences, the object is removed from the project.
