Using Publications in PartnerNet

PartnerNet is a network used by internal users to collaborate with external users or business partners.
The PartnerNet functionality enables users and their business partners to share and review files, documents, and notes. External users can view the publications posted to them by the internal users and add packages, notes, and attachments to these publications. The users must be listed in the PartnerNet Users (pdbpn0501m000) session to access the publications. You can use the PartnerNet Preferences (pdbpn0100m000) session to specify how your publications can be saved and shared.
Note: The PartnerNet functionality is enabled only if the PartnerNet check box is selected in the PLM Features (pdadm0110m000) session.

You can use the PartnerNet User Projects (pdbpn0102m000) session to specify the projects that can be accessed by the related ParterNet user.

The publications can be viewed in these modes:
  • PostIn

Allows you to view the publications sent to you.

  • PostOut

Allows you to view the publications shared with other users.

  • Public

Allows you to view all publications linked to the PartnerNet user projects that you can access.

  • Archive

You can attach packages, notes, and attachments to a new publication and add multiple recipients in the Publication (pdbpn1600m000) session. To share multiple files with your business partner, you can add a zipped folder to a package.
