Freeze Generation

You can use this option to freeze the Generation data of a PLM item. When an item is frozen, you cannot make changes to the PLM item data.

When you create or freeze a Generation, a snapshot of the item and its related links is captured.

Note: An user with Administrator role can make changes to a PLM item even if the item is not undergoing generation change.
