Compare BOM

Use this form to compare two product structures or two revisions of the same product and review the possible differences based on specific parameters. You can compare the product structures that are on the same system or on separate systems. For example, you can compare the product structure on the Infor PLM Discrete CE system with the product structure on the Infor LN system.

The type of product structures that can be compared are:

• PLM (As Designed)
• PBOM (As Planned)
• JSBOM

The parameters vary according to the Item category.

You can use the ellipses option to open the Compare BOM preferences form and set comparison parameters.

The comparison can be based on:

• By Item: You can sort the product structure by Item ID and compare the Items by attributes, and the attributes of the linked properties.
• By Find Number: You can sort the product structure by Find Number and compare the Items by attributes and the attributes of the linked properties.
• By Item and Find Number: You can sort the product structure first by ItemID followed by Find Number. This option enables you to compare the Item attributes and the attributes of the linked properties.
