Use this session to view and maintain the PLM item snapshot data. The data in this header section is defaulted from the PLM Item (pdpdm1600m000) session.

Customizable

Indicates if the item can be customized.

Note: 

By default, this field is set to Yes.

Customization, which also requires generation of a product structure, is applicable for these items:

  • Generic items, which must always be customized.
  • Product, Purchased, and Manufactured items, only if the Make Customized check box is selected on the customer order. The setting of this check box can be modified on the customer order.
  • Standard items that have anonymous inventory and for which the Make Customized check box is selected on the customer order.
PLM Project
The PLM project for which the item is created. The PLM administrator assigns users to the specific projects based on the authorization.
Security Access Level

The level of security access provided to the user.

Create CAD File

Indicates if CAD file must be created for the item.

Indicates if a mass BOM change (MBC) for an item is performed.
Approval Date
The date on which the item is released.
Effective From
The date from which the effectivity of the item is applicable.
Effective To
The date up to which the item is effective. The application sets the date when a new revision of the item is released.
Derived From
The original item from which this item is copied.
Derived From Revision
The original item revision from which this file is derived.
In House

The warehouse in which the item is stored.

The percentage of the item value that is considered as scrap.
Scrap Quantity
The item quantity that is considered as scrap.
Selection
Signal Code
The signal code associated with the item. This value is defaulted if a signal is linked to the item.
Selection Code
The selection code of item. You can use selection codes to select items by color, diameter, product expiry date, and so on.
Product Type

The code of the product type of item. The product type is used for classifying items with similar characteristics for production purpose.

Product Code

The product code associated with the item.

Product Line

The product line code associated with the item. Product line is a group of products manufactured by the same producer, that are similar but differ in details such as, size, shape, color, and so on. The product line is used as an item selection criterion for reporting.

Product Class
The product class code associated with the item. The product class is mainly used as an selection criterion for reporting.
Warehouse
The default warehouse in which the item is stored.
Manufacturer
The code of the manufacturer (supplier) of finished goods.
Engineer
The code of the employee who is assigned the engineer's role.
Engineering Item Reference
The reference number of the engineering item.
Planner
The code of the employee who is assigned the planner's role.
Unit Data
Unit Set
The code of the unit set. Unit sets are a group of unit codes that can be linked to standard or customized items, or to item defaults.
Unit of Measure
The unit of measure used for the item. This value is defaulted based on the unit set selected.
Weight Unit
The unit of weight of the item, such as kilograms or pounds.
Currency
The currency in which the item cost is specified.
BOM Quantity
The quantity of the item on which the engineering BOM is based. The main purpose of this unit is to include very small quantities of a component in the engineering BOM.
