PLM Items (pdpdm1500m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the PLM items that can be associated with a project.
Note: 
  • If the Item Segmentation in PLM field is set to Active in the Concept Activation (tcemm4600m100) session, the Project item code is also displayed along with the generic item code.
  • You can use the Where Used option to access the Where Used (pdpdm1501m100) session.
  • The xcad fields are customized and optional. The fields can be used to specify file names or information about objects.
  • You can use the Send Draft Item to Production (Without Dialog) option to send an item to production directly, without performing the Check-in operation.
  • You can use Promote option in the Actions menu to promote the PLM item to next stage.
  • You can use Promote To option in the Actions menu to promote the PLM item to required stage.
  • You can use filters in the Views menu to filter the items based on the status of the item. Whenever you apply one of the filter options, the same filter is applicable when you access the session next time.

    • Latest Created

      Click this option to view the latest revisions of the object.

    • Latest Released

      Click this option to view revisions:

      • With the status set to Released or Under Change.
      • Effective from the current date and time.
        Note: The object must not be Obsolete.
    • Work in Progress

      Click this option to view the undefined revisions of the object.

    • Current Released

      Click this option to view revisions of the object:

      • With the status set to Released or Under Change.
      • The Effective From date is less than or equal to the current date and time.
      • The Effective To date is greater than current date/time.
        Note: The object must not be Obsolete.

The code of the item.

Revision

The revision number of the item.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Item Character

The category to which the item is related.

Used for Project integration to define project structure. For WBS of Item character, Budget Element ID is mandatory.

WP

Used for Project integration to define project structure. For WP of Item character, Budget Element ID is mandatory.

The code of the item group. Sets of items are grouped on the basis of common features.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Unit of Measure

The unit of measure used for the item.

Interchangeable

Indicates if the unit of the item is interchangeable. This field is relevant only if unit effectivity is applicable for the item.

Life Cycle

The stage at which the item is, in the production life cycle. This is used to track the item through the various phases (from design to production).

Indicates the status of the item in the lifecycle.
Effective From

The date from which the effectivity of the item is applicable.

Effective To

The date up to which the item is effective. The application sets the date when a new revision of the item is released.

PLM Project

The PLM project for which the item is created.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Product Class

The product class code associated with the item.

Description

Product Line

The product line code associated with the item.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Planner

The code of the employee performing the planner's role.

Product Code

The product code associated with the item.

Product Type

The code of the product type of the item.

The description or name of the code.

Selection Code

The selection code of the item.

Signal Code

The signal code associated with the item.

BOM Quantity

The unit of measure of the item on which the engineering BOM is based.

Unit Set

The code of the unit set.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Manufacturer

The code of the manufacturer (supplier) of finished goods.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Weight Unit

The unit of weight of the item.

Cage Code

The unique Commercial and Government Entity Code, or CAGE Code, assigned to suppliers associated with various government or defense agencies.

Warehouse

The default warehouse in which the item is stored.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Is Latest

Indicates if the revision of the item is the latest.

xcad1

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad2

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad3

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad4

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

xcad5

The file name (used to replace references correctly in the assemblies) or collaboration information about objects.

Security Access Level

The level of security access provided to the user.

The date on which the item is created.

Approval Date

The date on which the item is released.

The alpha numeric code representing previous revision of the item.

The original item from which this item is copied.

Derived From Revision

The original item revision from which this file is derived.

Originating App

The application using which the item is created.

Category

The code of the item category.

Category Name

The name of the item category.

Business Process

The business process for which the item is required.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Modification

Indicates a mass BOM change for the item.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Standard

The standard of the item.

Serialized

If this check box is selected, the item is serialized.

Lot Control

If this check box is selected, the item is lot controlled.

End Item

If this check box is selected, the item is an End item.

Cost

The cost of the item.

Currency

The currency in which the item cost is specified.

Description

The description or name of the code.

Obsolete

Indicates that the item is no longer in use.

Estimated Weight

The estimated weight of the manufactured item.

Customizable

Indicates if the item is customized.

Material

The material from which the item is manufactured.

Search Key 1

The search key used for the retrieval of the item.

Search Key 2

The search key used along with Search Key 1 and Signal Code to retrieve the item.

Engineer

The code of the employee who is assigned the engineer's role.

Object Type

The category of the object.

Activity/Element

The unique element /activity ID to ERP for Items with WBS/WP characteristic.

Long Lead Item

If this check box is selected, the item is the long lead item.

Phantom

If this check box is selected, the item is a phantom item.

Recyclability

The level of recycling of the item.

Service

If this check box is selected, the item is a Service item and is included in the BOM for future maintenance and repairs.

Locked By

The name of the user who has locked the item.

Originating Item

Indicates if the item is the basic model in the associated CAD system to which all the other members in the category are related.

CAD Instance Name

The name of the variant in the CAD family.

Compliance Status

The item's compliance according to RoHS directive.

If this check box is selected, the Unit Effectivity Series and Unit Sequences are defined for the item.
