Masks (pdadm6601m000)

Use session to view and maintain the mask for a field of a specific table.

Multiple masks can be defined for a field that is part of primary key of the table.

The following sessions are displayed as satellite sessions:

Field Information

Mask

The name of the mask for which mask segments are maintained.

Table

The unique code of the table for which the mask is defined.

The description or name of the code.

Field

The field for which the mask is defined.

Length

The maximum length of the mask.

Preferred

If this check box is selected, the mask is set as the preferred mask for the object. LN defaults this value when a new object is created.

Use pre-generated Revisions

If this check box is selected, LN considers pre-generated revisions for the object.

Initial pre-generated Revision

The pre-generated revision number that is considered as the Initial Revision for the object.

Initial Value

The initial value to be considered for the first revision of the object.

Alternate Mask

The alternate for the specified mask.

Number Group (tc)

The number group defined in f Infor LN Common.

Number Group Series (tc)

The number group series defined in Infor LN Common.

Pattern

The pattern in which characters are incremented . A “????” value indicates that segment has fixed length of four characters or digits.

Increment Rule

The rule to specify the pattern in which the characters are incremented. For example, “[ADF-H]” indicates the characters “A”, “D”, “F”, “G” and “H” are a valid set of characters for the given segment.

Minimum Value

The minimum valid range for each incrementing character, based on the increment rule.

Maximum Value

The maximum valid range for each incrementing character, based on the increment rule.

Test

Generates the mask for testing purpose.

Reset

Resets the value that is generated as part of the testing.
