Plan History (fmlbd5510m000)

Use this session to view and maintain the history data of load plans. LN creates a history record of each change that is made to a load. You can use history records for future analysis.

On the Specific menu, you can access the Load History (fmlbd5502m000) session and the Archive/Delete Freight Planning History (fmlbd5200m000) session.

Field Information

Plan

The first free number of the load plan. This serves as the load plan identification.

User Name

The name of the user who created the current load plan.

Transaction Date

transaction date

History Status

The status of the history record resulting from the modification that is made on the transaction date.

Modified

This status is allocated if the data on which the current history information is based, is modified.

Processed

This status is allocated if the record on which the current history information is based, has obtained the Closed status.

Removed

This status is allocated if the header data related to the current history information is removed.

User

The logon code used to create the current load plan. Users must be authorized to create load plans. User authorizations are granted in the Users by Shipping Office and Planning Group (fmfoc1105m000) session.

Planning Algorithm

The planning algorithm used to create the selected load plan.

Actual

If this check box is selected, the load plan has received the Actual status.

Expired

If this check box is selected, the current load plan is expired. Expired load plans cannot be given the Actual status and cannot be processed further. Load plans that are not processed in Warehousing and load plans that are not Actual can be set to Expired. The expired status can be undone.

If this check box is cleared, the load plan is not Expired.

FM Leading Load Plan

If this check box is selected, changes made by Warehousing to load plans created by Freight are checked by Freight . For example, if Warehousing wants to move a shipment created by Freight to another load, Freight performs a check on:

  • The available capacity of the transport means group assigned to the load.
  • The transport type of the load.
  • The combination code of the load.
  • The planning groups of the order lines related to the shipment and the load.

The combination code and the transport type of the shipment and the load must match.

Also, the planning groups of the order lines related to the shipment and the load must match.

If this check box is cleared, Freight does not perform these checks. Shipments and loads created by Freight and Warehousing can be viewed in the Planned Loads/Shipments (whinh4180m000) session.

Text

If this check box is selected, additional information is available.

Estimated Freight Cost

The aggregated estimated freight costs of the current plan.

Actual Freight Cost

The actual freight costs of the load plan.

Creation Date

The date the plan is created.

Shipment Planned Dates

The time span defined in loading and unloading time windows of freight orders can be large. This can result in planned shipment loading and unloading dates that differ considerably from the planned loading and unloading dates of the originating orders of the freight orders. You can use the following options to control the way the load building engine calculates the planned loading and unloading dates for shipments.

Calculate Additional Costs

If this check box is selected, the additional costs for the current plan are calculated.

Carrier/LSP Selection Criterion

The available carrier selection criteria are used to select the best combination of carrier, standard route, and route plan during load building or lead time calculation.

Cheapest

For load building, the carrier and related route plan or standard route with the lowest rates is selected. For freight order clustering, the carrier with the lowest rates is selected. The rates are defined in the carrier rate books in Pricing . For further information, refer to Defining freight rate books and Freight rate retrieval.

If more than one carrier can offer the cheapest rates, the fastest carrier is chosen from these carriers. If more than one carrier can offer the cheapest rates and the shortest delivery times, from these the carrier that takes the shortest route is selected.

Fastest

For load building, the route plan or standard route and related carrier with the shortest travelling time is selected. LN checks the average speed of the transport means groups of the available carriers, the calendars of the addresses, and standard routes. For freight order clustering, the carrier with the shortest travelling time is selected. LN checks the average speed of the transport means groups of the available carriers.

If more than one carrier can offer the shortest delivery times and the cheapest rates, the carrier that takes the shortest route is selected from these carriers.

Shortest

LN searches the route plan and/or standard route with the shortest distance and then searches an available carrier.

If more than one carrier takes the shortest route, the cheapest carrier is selected from these carriers. If more than one carrier takes the shortest route and offers the cheapest rates, the carrier with the shortest delivery times is selected from these carriers.

Means of Transport in Multiple Plans

If this check box is selected, a Means of Transport can be scheduled tentatively for more than one Plan. When one of the plans is made Actual, the Means of Transport is scheduled definitely for the Actual plan.

The Means of Transport in Multiple Plans field is enabled if the plan is not expired and no loads are present yet, or a load is present which is Expected, Planned, or Actual. If the plan is expired or all loads for the plan are In Progress, Confirmed, Shipped, Completed, or Closed then this field is disabled.
