Generate Inventory Commitment (fmfoc2210m000)
Use this session to generate or cancel inventory commitments for selected ranges of freight orders, freight order clusters, loads, or shipments. The purpose is to make sure that the inventory is available when the actual shipping starts.
To operate this session
- In the Action group box, select the Generate option to generate, or the Cancel option to cancel inventory commitments.
- In the Generate/Cancel Inventory Commitment for group box, select the Freight Orders, Freight Order Clusters, Loads, or Shipments option to specify whether cancellation or generation of inventory commitments as specified previously is to be performed for freight orders, loads, or shipments.
- In the Planning group box, select a shipping office, and optionally a planning group.
- Specify the other planning data and item ranges as preferred.
- If required, select the Commit Complete Order Quantities Only Commit Complete Order Quantities Only check box.

Specify the preferred range of freight orders, freight order clusters, loads, or shipments in the next tabs of this session.
The option selected in step 2 determines whether the Freight Order Selection tab, the Load Selection tab, or the Shipment Selection tab is available.

Click to start up the generation or cancellation process.
The process is carried out for the freight orders, freight order clusters, loads or shipments that meet the criteria that you specified in steps 3, 4 and 6.
A report showing the results is printed.
