Field Information

Freight Service Level

freight service level

Transportation Time

The transportation time of the current freight service level.

The transportation time is expressed by a number and a time unit. In this field you must enter the number and in the Time Unit list you must enter the time unit. For example, to enter a transportation time of twelve hours, you enter 12 in this field and select Hours from the Time Unit list.

The transportation time is used to calculate the default transportation lead time for the following types of orders, provided that a Freight Service Level is entered for these orders:

  • Purchase orders
  • Sales orders
  • Warehousing orders
  • Freight orders

For freight orders, this is the default planned unload date. If no Freight Service Level is entered for the freight order, the default planned unload date is taken from the distance (time) between the ship-from and the ship-to addresses. Distances between addresses are defined in the Distance Table by City (tccom4537m000) session and the Distance Table by ZIP Code/Postal Code (tccom4538m000) session. In each case, the calendar of the addresses and the carrier (if defined), and the tolerances defined for the addresses are also used to determine the planned unload date.

Time Unit

The time unit for the transportation time.

For example, to enter a transportation time of twelve hours, you must enter 12 in the Transportation Time field and select the Hours option.

Delivery After Planned Date Allowed

This field determines whether unloading after the planned unloading date is allowed. If this check box is selected, the normal calculation to determine the unload date, including any tolerances, will be used. If this check box is cleared, the latest unload date will be the planned unload date on the freight order.
