Forecast by Revision from Customer (cpvmi0506m100)

Use this session to display the forecast you received from your customer.

To view a list of revisions, use the Forecast Revisions from Customer (cpvmi0506m000) session.

To view the situation based on confirmed supply values from the previous revision, on the menu, click View confirmed supply previous revision.

Before you can use a forecast revision in a planning run, the revision must be accepted. If the Automatic Accept Forecast check box in the Planning Parameters (cprpd0100m000) session has been selected, revisions are automatically accepted upon receipt.

Receipt Date

The date you received the forecast from your supplier.

Accepted

If this check box is selected, this revision has been accepted. Before you can use a forecast revision in a planning run, the revision must be accepted.

Confirmed Supply
Revision Confirmed Supply

The revision of the displayed confirmed supply.

After you receive a forecast revision, you can specify the confirmed supply for that revision. If you view the latest revision of the forecast, the corresponding confirmed supply may not yet have been sent to the customer.

To view the current revision of the confirmed supply, on the menu, click View confirmed supply current revision.

To view the previous revision of the confirmed supply, on the menu, click View confirmed supply previous revision.

The Supply field displays the confirmed supply of this revision.

Date Sent Confirmed Supply

The date you sent the confirmed supply to your customer.

Date

The date of the supply or forecast.

Total Forecast

The total forecast. If the order type is Forecast to Supplier, the total forecast is the sum of the confirmed forecast and the unconfirmed forecast.

Total Difference

An indication of the expected inventory level. A negative value shows an anticipated inventory shortage.

The Total Difference field is a cumulative value based on the Total Forecast field and the Supply field.

Confirmed Difference

The confirmed difference is a relatively optimistic indication of the expected inventory level. A negative value shows an anticipated inventory shortage. In the confirmed difference, the demand is presumed to only include the confirmed forecast .

The Total Difference field is a cumulative value, based on the Confirmed Forecast field and the Confirmed Supply Type field.

Minimum Inventory

The minimum inventory as agreed in the applicable terms and definitions.

Maximum Inventory

The maximum inventory as agreed in the applicable terms and definitions.

If this check box is selected, a specification is present.

To display the specification, in the appropriate menu, click Specification.

Reference

The supply that fills this demand must have been allocated or demand pegged to the reference code displayed in this field.

LN uses this characteristic to find a matching supply for this demand.

LN uses the Reference field to record an internal reference.

If related parts follow different routings, such as if some of the parts are transported to a subcontractor to be returned later, you can use a reference code to keep the parts linked together.

Business Partner

The supply that fills this demand must have been allocated or demand pegged to the sold-to business partner displayed in this field.

LN uses this characteristic to find a matching supply for this demand.

Use Unallocated Inventory

If this check box is selected, Enterprise Planning can use unallocated inventory to supply the demand. Enterprise Planning uses allocated inventory first. If there is not enough allocated inventory, Enterprise Planning also uses unallocated inventory.

If this check box is cleared, Enterprise Planning can only use allocated inventory to fill the demand.
