Resources - Performance Indicators (cprao2560m000)

Use this session to view the performance indicators of several work centers simultaneously. In this way you can compare the performance of work centers.

  1. Use the Find Record icon on the toolbar to select a scenario, a plan level, and a work center.
  2. On the View menu, you can select the order by which work centers are sorted. This helps you analyze the work centers on the basis of a particular performance indicator.

If no performance indicators are shown for the selected scenario and plan level, start the Performance Indicators (cprao2201s000) session from the General Menu to compute the indicators of the work center for that scenario and plan level.

Note: When there is a change in the data on which the computation is based (for example, capacity information), the performance indicators are not automatically updated. Start the Performance Indicators (cprao2201s000) session from the General Menu, select the appropriate scenario and the concerned work center, and click the Compute Indicators command to recompute them.

For an explanation of each performance indicator, see the help information of the performance indicator fields.

Note:
  • All indicator computations that are carried out for a range of plan periods start with the plan period in which the current date falls. For instance, when the field help information states that an indicator is computed for all plan periods, you must keep in mind that plan periods which lie completely in the past are ignored.
  • If you have started this session by zooming, you can only find and select a record.

Field Information

Scenario

The scenario for which LN displays the performance indicators of the work centers.

Plan Level

The plan level for which LN displays the performance indicators of the work centers.

Work Center

The work center for which LN displays the performance indicators.

Computation Date

The date on which LN computed the performance indicators of the work center.

Capacity Used for (Planned) Production

The capacity that is used by several types of orders and activities, expressed as a total value for all plan periods.

LN computes the value of this field by adding up the values of the following fields in the Resource Master Plan (cprmp3501m000) session:

  • Capacity Used for Planned Orders
  • Capacity Used for Production Orders
  • Capacity Used for Service Orders
  • Capacity Used for PCS Activities
Capacity Used for Critical Capacity Requirements

The capacity that is used for critical capacity requirements in master planning, expressed as a total value for all plan periods.

LN computes the capacity used for critical capacity requirements as the sum value of the Capacity Used for Critical Capacity Requirements field in the Resource Master Plan (cprmp3501m000) session.

Free Capacity (Hours)

The free capacity of a work center, expressed as a total value for all plan periods.

Used data

LN computes it as follows: From the Resource Master Plan (cprmp3501m000) session:

  • Available Capacity

From this session:

  • Capacity Used for (Planned) Production
  • Capacity Used for Critical Capacity Requirements
Average Utilization (%)

The average relative capacity utilization of a work center, expressed as an overall percentage for the total capacity of all plan periods.

Used data

LN computes the average utilization as follows: From this session:

  • Free Capacity (Hours)

From the Resource Master Plan (cprmp3501m000) session:

  • Available Capacity
Production Costs

The production costs of the selected work centers, expressed as a total amount for all plan periods.

LN computes the total production costs as follows: Total required capacity * hourly production costs The total required capacity is the sum of the following fields in the Resource Master Plan (cprmp3501m000) session:

  • Capacity Used for Critical Capacity Requirements
  • Capacity Used for Planned Orders
  • Capacity Used for Production Orders
  • Capacity Used for Service Orders
  • Capacity Used for PCS Activities

The hourly production costs are based on work center data from the execution level (see the Work Centers (tirou0101m000) session).
