Plan Item - Channels (cpdsp5100m000)
Use this session to link channels to a plan item.
You can define channels in the Channels (tcmcs0166m000) session.
You can maintain a channel master plan for each item/channel combination that you define in this session.
LN automatically generates a channel master plan when you run the Initialize, Roll, and Update Scenario (cprpd4200m000) session, if the following conditions are met:
- You selected the Master Plan check box for the corresponding plan item in the Items - Planning (cprpd1100m000) session.
- You selected the Generate Item/Channel Master Plan check box in the Initialize, Roll, and Update Scenario (cprpd4200m000) session.
Field Information
- Plan Item

The plan item for which you want to define sales channels.
- Channel

The channel that you want to use to sell or distribute the specified plan item.
- ATP Period Length

The length of the channel-ATP period, expressed in calendar days.
Allowed values
The period length must be greater than or equal to 1.
The channel-ATP period is the time range for which LN considers the ATP of channeled plan items, and which usually differs from the plan periods that LN uses to compute the ATP of normal plan items.
- Reference Date

The start date of the first channel-ATP period.
If the reference date lies before the start date of the scenario, LN adds a multiple of the value that you specified in the ATP Period Length field so that the reference date lies beyond the scenario start date.
Note: The reference date is a fixed date. Rolling the scenario does not change the reference date.
