Allocation rule: historic percentage

For the selection of external suppliers and the generation of planned purchase orders, you can use a supply strategy with a special allocation rule: Historic Percentage.

Historic percentage

If multiple buy-from business partners are capable to supply a particular item, you can specify which percentage of the total supply of the item must be supplied by each of the buy-from business partners.

You can define this percentage in the Sourcing Percentage field in the Items - Purchase Business Partner (tdipu0110m000) session.

If the Allocation Rule field in the Supply Strategy (cprpd7120m000) session is set to Historic Percentage, Enterprise Planning attempts to make the distribution of the deliveries by various suppliers conform the specified percentages in the long run. To achieve the desired percentage, Enterprise Planning calculates the average actual percentage allocated to each supplier.

You can see the result of the historic quantities in the Active Supply Sources Overview (cprpd7150m000) session.

To use this method, you must run the Generate Active Supplying Source Overview (cprpd7250m000) session from time to time, for example, once a month, to update the active supply sources overview.
