Configurations by Site - overview

To support multisite production for the PCF configured products, new master data is in place to model the different production sites. Generic bills of material are defined for a site, and the bills of material can have available sites dependent on the options, these new entities are implemented:
  • Item Configuration and Item Configuration by Site
  • Generic Job Shop Bill of Material (BOM) for a Site
  • Generic Job Shop Routing for a Site
  • Generic Assembly Bill of Material
  • Generic Subcontracting Model
  • Planning equivalents for BOM and Routing and Subcontracting Model

These entities replace the Generic Bill of Material and the Generic Routing.

If multiple production sites are available, you can select the site where the configured product must be produced. You can also subcontract a configured product or a part of the product.
